Spoofing Notice to Members

Spoofing Notice to Members

We want to make you aware of a recent scam where fraudsters are spoofing both our (800) 303-3838 and (530) 222-6060 numbers to trick members into sharing personal and financial information. These fraudsters impersonate our card fraud services and ask about fictitious debit card transactions. They may already know part of your card details, such as the last four digits of your card, and if questioned, they provide additional personal information, including your full Social Security number, address, and any joint account holders. In other instances, fraudsters perform fraudulent transactions while on the phone with members to try and deceive them into approving the purchases. Please remember, Members 1st will never ask you for your debit or credit card number, social security number, card PIN, one-time passcode (OTP), or online banking password. We will never reach out to members to provide unsolicited technical support.

Numbers to block

As fraudulent numbers are identified by the credit union we will list them here and recommend members block these numbers on their mobile phones.
