Current Positions Available

Marketing Specialist/Graphics Artist

Assists VP Marketing and will be responsible for a variety of tasks that allow for the successful development, completion, and tracking of planned marketing programs and campaigns. Will create and coordinate written content and graphic design for marketing materials and advertisements. Have exceptional communication skills for written, graphical, or oral communication and the ability to represent the credit union with public speaking or staff presentations.


Salary Range: $17.44 to $26.15

Essential Functions
  1. Create and coordinate content, headlines, and calls-to-action for marketing materials and advertisings in compliance with internal writing standards.
  2. Create and coordinate graphic design for marketing materials and advertisements in compliance with internal branding guidelines.
  3. Oversees internal and external production of printed marketing materials.
  4. Coordinate and produce web graphics with internal web team.
  5. Manage Members 1st Credit Union social media sites.
  6. Help arrange, set up, conduct, and take down marketing events at branches and within the community.
  7. Create and run reports for promotions and tracking marketing performance.
  8. Assist with media contacts and relations on behalf of Members 1st Credit Union.
  9. Create news, blogs, notifications, and press releases for distribution to media contacts, members, and community.
  10. Design and produce marketing materials/promotions for targeted products and services.
  11. Review and proof marketing materials for accuracy and completeness.
  12. Maintain inventory of marketing material supplies. Determine when to reorder and place orders to replenish inventories at all branch locations.
  13. Audit marketing channels for accuracy and completeness.
  14. Create, edit, and coordinate digital marketing campaigns and advertisements.
  15. Attends occasional early morning “all staff required” trainings and meetings.
  16. Help manage and coordinate emails and campaigns within the department’s marketing automation platform.
  17. Reports for duty as scheduled.
  18. Is responsible for compliance with all required regulations and polices, especially with all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) policies, procedures and regulations.
  19. Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
  1. Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
  2. Must be proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  3. General skills applicable to this position include:
  • Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interact tactfully and professionally with credit union staff as well as members. Maintain a high degree of confidentiality in dealing with sensitive information and marketing strategies.
  • Strong computer skills consistent with requirements for graphic design and promotion tracking as stated above.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizations skills.
  • Must possess a valid California Drivers License.
  • Must have excellent grammar and proof-reading skills.

  2. Extended sitting, focusing on and operating a personal computer intermittently throughout the day.
  3. Ability to read printed words and numbers in printed form and on computer/terminal monitor.

  5. Hearing enough to clearly hear voices in person and on the telephone.
  6. Performing work through repetitive eye/hand coordination.
  7. Daily standing for up to 15 minutes at a time while operating office equipment such as a FAX, printer or photocopier.
  8. Write using pen/pencil or personal computer keyboard for extended periods daily.
  9. Ability to pack and lift boxes of 20 lbs. or less to ship to branches.
Must pass pre-employ drug test and background screens, which includes a credit check.

Full-Time Member Service Representative - Chico

Serves to provide consistent excellent service to our walk-in and phone members.  Performs transactions and side duties in an accurate and timely manner.  Takes an active role in cross training in the branch and participating in weekly staff meetings.  Actively promotes and provides credit union products and services to our members.  Will be assigned to work on projects within the branch and/or in support of other departments within the Credit Union when needed. Must be able to work full-time hours of 32 to 40 a week, during the working hours of Monday through Thursday 8:15 am to 5:15 pm and Friday 8:15 am to 5:45 pm.

Essential Functions
  1. Provides consistent excellent member service to all members coming in the branch and calling in on the phone.
  2. Performs variety of transactions in person and over the phone, including but not limited to: deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, purchase of monetary instruments, sale of stamps, reviewing account history, certificate transactions, IRA transactions.
  3. Responsible for learning and becoming comfortable with credit union products and services available for members including, but not limited to: deposit accounts, interest bearing accounts, ATM and VISA check cards, online banking, e-statements, audio response, direct deposit and basic knowledge of loan products.
  4. Provides cross selling opportunities to each member as fits their needs.
  5. Responsible for learning financial institution regulations such as: BSA, Reg CC, Reg DD and Reg E and applying them.
  6. Responsible for opening new accounts including certificates, IRAs and business accounts and complying with each account policy.
  7. Processes cash with accuracy and security measures set in place according to policy.
  8. Responsible for reading, studying and applying credit union policies and procedures as assigned.
  9. Properly identifies members in the branch and over the phone.
  10. Participates in routine side duties including, but not limited to: night drop processing, ATM processing, branch balancing, check stub balancing, coin shipments, TCR balancing, auditing various operations functions, keeping branch organized, supply inventory, filing, scanning and copying.
  11. Complies with office safety and security guidelines and training.
  12. Actively promotes credit union products and services to each member as appropriate.
  13. Participates in appropriate and applicable training through the credit union library, on-site trainings, cross training to ensure job knowledge is current and up-to-date.
  14. Is responsible for completing quarterly compliance training in all required regulations and polices, especially with all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) policies, procedures and regulations.

Job Qualifications
  1. High School diploma or GED.
  2. MUST have heavy cash counting and handling experience.
  3. Experience and training in the banking field working with the public and/or experience in customer service is preferred.
  4. Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
  5. General skills applicable to this position include:
  • A minimum of a beginner level knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Advanced skills in using computers and related equipment, 10-key calculator, multi line telephone/intercom systems, and a variety of general office equipment including copy machines, scanners, and fax equipment.
  • Ability to interact tactfully and professionally with credit union staff as well as external contacts. Maintain a high degree of confidentiality in dealing with various personnel and member information.
      5.  Light travel is required. Travel to the various branch locations or to off-site trainings may be necessary but not regular.
      6.  Must pass pre-employment drug test and background screens, which includes a credit report.
