Current Positions Available

Full-Time Branch Manager - Chico

Responsible for the daily operations of the Branch. Ensures that the branch office staff is providing quality service to members in the areas of account transactions, loan applications, new accounts, and problem solving within established policies and guidelines. 

Salary Range: $32 and up DOE - Health, GAP, Dental, Vision, Life, 401k, PTO, Paid Holidays plus other perks!

Essential Functions
  • Display leadership skills and be a role model for the branch staff.
  • Attend Chamber of Commerce functions.
  • Be the ‘face of the credit union’ for community events as assigned.
  • Develop Marketing strategies for growth in the PEP groups.
  • Ensures the branch is in compliance with regulated state and federal laws and all regulations set forth by such agencies.
  • Maintain a highly motivated, well-trained staff.
  • Maintain effective employee relations.
  • Schedule staff, give performance reviews, and recommend salary adjustments.
  • Ensure adequate staffing for efficient branch operation.
  • Determines that all credit union policies are being followed and initiates corrective action as needed and directed by supervisor.
  • Resolves operational problems with staff and other branch personnel for solutions or modifications to operations.
  • Prepare, implement, and supervise the budget for the branch that is consistent with the overall strategic plan and budget of the credit union.
  • Develop, apply and evaluate policies and procedures for the branch.
  • Manage and recommend the purchase of equipment and supplies.
  • Work with internal auditor to ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Monitor office activity, including number of transactions, volume, teller errors, loan volume, teller and loan personal sales, new accounts, and offer recommendations for improvement to AVP Regional AVP Manager.
  • Monitor key products/sales within branch to ensure profitable and sound business practices for the credit union, a high quality of service for members, and employees are maximizing opportunities to sell products.
  • Encourage, coach, train staff to meet individual goals and branch goals.
  • Provide follow up training to staff when individual staff goals are not met.
  • Manage the security and safety of the branch, with responsibility to analyze security and safety policies and procedures, and to alert staff to any changes.
  • Ensure staff receives on-going training on security and robbery procedures.
  • Operates as loan officer to process and disburse incoming loan applications in accordance with credit union loan policies.
  • Recommends and develops marketing programs within the branch.
  • Orders/monitors weekly cash supply and balances cash, including:
    • Vault & TCR
    • Teller drawers
    • Branch deposits
    • ATM
  • Resolves member account problems and provides information to members.
  • Prepares “End of Month” checklist and submits them to the supervisor by the 10th of each month.
  • Is the liaison between the branch and administration office.
  • Maintains regular attendance.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with other team members.
  • Communicates effectively with AVP Regional Manager and Corporate office.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
  1. A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Business or Finance and/or an equivalent level of knowledge such as would be gained with five to ten years of experience in a credit union or similar financial institution.
  2. If applicable, successful completion of the credit union’s manager training program.
  3. Thorough knowledge of operational activities and financial products relative to credit unions as would normally be obtained with 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience leading to a managerial position within a financial institution.
  4. Organizational, analytical, public relations and project management skills; ability to coordinate a variety of projects.
  5. Knowledge of credit union products and services, consumer loans, credit granting criteria, and day-to-day branch operations.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Word and general use of computers.
  7. Advanced communication skills (written and verbal).
  8. Must pass pre-employment drug testing and background screens which include a credit report.
