Current Positions Available

Full-time Member Service Representative - Redding

Provides excellent service to all our members. Performs transactions and side duties in an accurate and timely manner. Takes an active role in cross training in the branch and participating in weekly staff meetings. Actively promotes and provides credit union products and services to our members. Will be assigned to work on projects within the branch and/or in support of other departments within the credit union when needed.

Must be able to work full-time hours of 40 a week, during the working hours of Monday through Thursday 8:15 am to 5:15 pm and Friday 8:15 am to 5:45 pm.

Salary Range: $15.00 to $22.50 - Health, Dental, Vision, Gap & Life/AD &D benefits available, plus other perks!

Essential Functions
  • Provides excellent member service to members in the branch, through email, chat and calling on the phone.
  • Performs variety of transactions in person and over the phone, including but not limited to: deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, purchase of monetary instruments, sale of stamps, reviewing account history, certificate transactions, etc.
  • Learn and become comfortable with credit union products and services available for members including, but not limited to: accounts offered, interest bearing accounts, cards, card transactions, online banking, e-statements, audio response, direct deposit, basic knowledge of loan products, etc.
  • Must look for opportunities to refer products and services to each member, as fits their needs.
  • Must know and implement all financial institution policies and regulations: such as BSA, OFAC, Reg CC, Reg DD, Reg E, Reg P, etc.
  • Must know how to open new accounts and additional suffixes.
  • Process cash with accuracy and security measures set in place according to policy.
  • Responsible to read, study and apply credit union policies and procedures as assigned.
  • Properly identifies members in the branch and over the phone.
  • Participates in side jobs including, but not limited to: night drop processing, ATM processing, branch balancing, check balancing, auditing various operations functions, keeping branch organized, supply inventory, scanning and copying.
  • Complies with office safety and security guidelines and training.
  • Participates in appropriate and applicable training through the credit union library, on-site trainings, cross training to ensure job knowledge is current and up to date.
  • Completes quarterly compliance training in all required regulations and policies.
  • Maintains compliance with all required regulations and policies, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Support loan center - assist loan center by connecting member with loan center staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience in banking as well as working with the public and/or in customer service.
  • Experienced in cash handling is a MUST.
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
  • General skills applicable to this position include:
           A.  Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
           B.  Advanced skills in using computers and related equipment, 10-key calculator, multi-line telephone/intercom systems, and a variety of general office equipment including copy machines, scanners, and fax
                equipment.
           C. Ability to interact tactfully and professionally with credit union staff as well as external contacts. Maintain a high degree of confidentiality in dealing with various personnel and member information.
  • Light travel is required. Travel to the various branch locations or to off-site trainings may be necessary on occasion.
  • Background checks, including a credit check and drug screen required.

  6. Standing for up to 15 minutes at a time while operating office equipment.
  7. Write using pen/pencil or personal computer keyboard daily.

Marketing Coordinator

Responsible for coordinating the credit union’s social media profiles, campaigns, events, and promotions. Writes and edits department content. Assists the department VP and performs a variety of administrative, project management, community outreach, reporting, and other coordination related duties.

Salary Range: $17.00 to $25.50 DOE

Essential Functions
  1. Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing marketing campaigns:
  • Enter survey responses received from the branches into digital entries
  • Inform staff of upcoming campaigns with notices on the intranet and emails sent
  • Support campaign awareness with staff
  • Help create and oversee project tasks in Asana (department project management tool)
  • Help coordinate content development with outside copywriters
  • Help review marketing materials for spelling and grammar
  1. Coordinate the development and execution of marketing content including:
  • Providing high quality creative writing that reflects the credit union’s brand messaging for emails, website, social media, and press releases
  • Assist with maintaining a cohesive marketing content calendar disbursed through multiple marketing channels including web & social media
  • Preparing ideas and topics for content as needed
  • Overseeing the development and execution of outsourced vendor content for marketing campaigns, materials, webpages, and press releases
  1. Coordinate, research and attend special events or seminars at the branches, within the community or virtually.
  2. Provide administrative assistance for the Marketing Department utilizing a range of computer software applications to include Microsoft Office, graphics software, and Windows or Mac operating systems.
  3. Maintain up-to-date and complete paper/electronic files for the department.
  4. Edit the occasional marketing collateral and other marketing materials. Proof work of others for accuracy and completeness.
  5. Maintain the department’s calendar of events and sponsorships.
  6. Maintain and complete department reports, statistics, and campaign updates and distribute to staff or branches.
  7. Assist with media contacts and relations on behalf of Members 1st Credit Union:
  • Maintain marketing expense reports.
  • Fulfill annual, monthly, and weekly campaign reports.
  • Create and track oversight reports from digital advertising on social media, such as Google/Facebook.
  • Scrubbing mail list data for duplications, charge offs, bankruptcies, etc.
  1. Maintain and monitor marketing department CRM.
  2. Help coordinate/fulfill community donation, sponsorships, credit union programs and PEP programs.
  3. Is responsible for compliance with all required regulations and polices, especially with all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) policies, procedures and regulations.
  4. Other duties as assigned.

  9. Packing and lifting boxes up to 15-20 pounds.
Job Qualifications
  1. Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
  2. Some experience in marketing, experience with graphic design and digital marketing a plus.
  3. Must have strong oral and written communication skills. Must have excellent grammar and proof-reading skills. Must be well organized and have the ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects.
  4. General skills applicable to this position include:
    • Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to interact tactfully and professionally with credit union staff as well as members. Maintain a high degree of confidentiality in dealing with sensitive information and marketing strategies.
    • Strong computer and excel skills consistent with requirements for web and data analysis and graphic file management.
    • Attention to detail and excellent organizations skills.
    • Must possess a valid California Driver’s License.

Full-Time Quality Control Specialist I - Redding

The primary responsibility of this position is performing audits for the credit union. The Quality Control Specialist I will review records, documents, loans, policies, and procedures, financial and operational processes, and electronic information in accordance with regulatory requirements.
 

Salary Range: $17.00 to $25.50 an hour DOE

Essential Functions
  1. Conducts regular operation audit procedures and activities for all credit union branches, the call center, and other departments.
  2. Conducts independent operation audits and examinations of credit union records to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and established procedures.
  3. Assists internal personnel and other regulatory examiners during audits, as necessary.
  4. Assists in the implementation of new or revised internal quality control policies, methods, and procedures.
  5. Makes recommendations to revise electronic systems and procedures to comply with State and Federal regulations.
  6. Prepares written reports on internal quality control reviews, including findings, analyses, conclusions, and recommended actions.
  7. Ensures that audit processes will stand up to outside scrutiny.
  8. Maintains strict confidentiality, sharing information on a “need to know” basis.
  9. Is responsible for compliance with all required regulations and policies, including a review of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) recordkeeping.
  10. Review funded loans to ensure accuracy in loan rates, collateral, payments, loan types, signatures, all required documentation is included in loan files, and note any loan exceptions.
  11. Maintain on-going knowledge of loan procedures and operations procedures and recommend process revisions when needed.
  12. Audit DocMan Entries as needed
  13. Serve as the BSA Compliance Specialist and backs up BSA Compliance staff as needed.
  14. Present trainings to staff pertaining to fraud and quality control activities as needed.
  15. Other duties as assigned.
