Current Positions Available

Full-time Member Service Representative - Redding

Provides excellent service to all our members. Performs transactions and side duties in an accurate and timely manner. Takes an active role in cross training in the branch and participating in weekly staff meetings. Actively promotes and provides credit union products and services to our members. Will be assigned to work on projects within the branch and/or in support of other departments within the credit union when needed.

Must be able to work full-time hours of 40 a week, during the working hours of Monday through Thursday 8:15 am to 5:15 pm and Friday 8:15 am to 5:45 pm.

Salary Range: $15.00 to $22.50 - Health, Dental, Vision, Gap & Life/AD &D benefits available, plus other perks!

Essential Functions
  • Provides excellent member service to members in the branch, through email, chat and calling on the phone.
  • Performs variety of transactions in person and over the phone, including but not limited to: deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, purchase of monetary instruments, sale of stamps, reviewing account history, certificate transactions, etc.
  • Learn and become comfortable with credit union products and services available for members including, but not limited to: accounts offered, interest bearing accounts, cards, card transactions, online banking, e-statements, audio response, direct deposit, basic knowledge of loan products, etc.
  • Must look for opportunities to refer products and services to each member, as fits their needs.
  • Must know and implement all financial institution policies and regulations: such as BSA, OFAC, Reg CC, Reg DD, Reg E, Reg P, etc.
  • Must know how to open new accounts and additional suffixes.
  • Process cash with accuracy and security measures set in place according to policy.
  • Responsible to read, study and apply credit union policies and procedures as assigned.
  • Properly identifies members in the branch and over the phone.
  • Participates in side jobs including, but not limited to: night drop processing, ATM processing, branch balancing, check balancing, auditing various operations functions, keeping branch organized, supply inventory, scanning and copying.
  • Complies with office safety and security guidelines and training.
  • Participates in appropriate and applicable training through the credit union library, on-site trainings, cross training to ensure job knowledge is current and up to date.
  • Completes quarterly compliance training in all required regulations and policies.
  • Maintains compliance with all required regulations and policies, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Support loan center - assist loan center by connecting member with loan center staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience in banking as well as working with the public and/or in customer service.
  • Experienced in cash handling is a MUST.
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
  • General skills applicable to this position include:
           A.  Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
           B.  Advanced skills in using computers and related equipment, 10-key calculator, multi-line telephone/intercom systems, and a variety of general office equipment including copy machines, scanners, and fax
                equipment.
           C. Ability to interact tactfully and professionally with credit union staff as well as external contacts. Maintain a high degree of confidentiality in dealing with various personnel and member information.
  • Light travel is required. Travel to the various branch locations or to off-site trainings may be necessary on occasion.
  • Background checks, including a credit check and drug screen required.

Provides consistent excellent service to our walk-in and phone members. Performs transactions and side duties in an accurate and timely manner. Accounting Specialist-Redding, CA

Maintains accurate accounting records; completes account reconciliations regularly, maintains prepaid and fixed asset subsidiary ledgers in compliance with GAAP, assists in financial statement preparation, assists in accounts payable preparation, and serves as an accounting resource to other departments.

Salary Range: $18.00 and up DOE - Health, GAP, Dental, Vision, Life, 401k, PTO, Paid Holidays plus other perks!

Essential Functions
  1. Balances bank statements on a daily basis and transfers funds as needed.
  2. Reconciles general ledger accounts as defined in the accounting department work plan and backs up team members when necessary.
  3. Compiles information from branches, departments, and other resources and prepares journal entries as needed.  Troubleshoots outages and communicates with other staff to investigate problems.
  4. Responsible for completing entries and balancing the prepaid expenses subsidiary ledger.
  5. Responsible for completing entries and balancing the fixed asset subsidiary ledger and providing tags to branches to track new purchases.
  6. Assists in the preparation of tax forms, including sales tax returns, property tax reports, 1099/1098 forms, and annual information returns.
  7. Responsible for posting monthly and quarterly accruals.
  8. Assists with transactions and reports related to investment purchases, sales, and monthly income recognition.
  9. Processes Accounts Payable, as well as, related adjusting entries and reporting.
  10. Completes tasks and projects as assigned.
  11. Attends occasional early morning “all staff required” training meetings.
  12. Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications
  1. Minimum Associates’ degree in accounting or related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  2. Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
  3. Must have strong research and critical thinking skills.
  4. General skills applicable to this position include:
  • Ability to type 45 words per minute (net).
  • Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interact tactfully and professionally with credit union staff as well as members and outside vendors.
  • Strong computer skills including the use of Microsoft Word and Excel (testing required). Microsoft Outlook is desirable.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizations skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with material of a sensitive nature.
  • Must have excellent grammar and proof reading skills.
  • Must have excellent communication skills
Must pass pre-employment drug test and background screens, which includes a credit report.
 

Loan Center Loan Officer - Full-Time - Redding

Responsibilities of this position includes processing and approval of credit union loan applications as well as researching and compiling background information on loan applicants for credit approval.  Also includes answering basic lending questions from members, dealers and employees and performing a variety of support duties related to the lending function within the credit union. This position is within the centralized loan center.
 

Salary Range: $18.00 and up DOE - Health, GAP, Dental, Vision, Life, 401k, PTO, Paid Holidays plus other perks!

Essential Functions
 Processes and approves or declines consumer/dealer loan applications, including:
  1. Approve direct loans from online and branch sources.
  2. Include cross sell products with all approved loan applications.
  3. Discuss real estate products with members and take applications.
  4. Gather background information on loan applicants.
  5. Verify employment of persons applying for loans.
  6. Complete all necessary loan documents for approved loans.
  7. Complete denial forms for all loans that are declined.
  8. Prepare member loan files and maintain loan records on the computer.
  9. Provide support for all phases of DMV work, including securing liens on titles and filing.
  10. Facilitate the signing of loan documents with members.
  11. Is responsible for compliance with all required regulations and polices, especially with all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) policies, procedures, and regulations.
