Current Positions Available

Marketing Specialist

 
Assists VP Marketing and will be responsible for a variety of tasks that allow for the successful development, completion, and tracking of planned marketing programs and campaigns. Will create and coordinate digital marketing campaigns including advertisements and marketing asset development. Have exceptional communication skills for written, graphical, or oral communication and the ability to represent the credit union with public speaking or staff presentations.

 

Salary Range: $17.44 to $26.15

Essential Functions
  1. Create, edit, and coordinate digital marketing campaigns and advertisements in Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and the credit union’s marketing automation platform.
  2. Manage the credit union’s Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
  3. Help develop, manage, and coordinate emails and campaigns within the department’s marketing automation platform.
  4. Create and/or coordinate content, headlines, and calls-to-action for marketing assets and advertisements in compliance with internal writing standards.
  5. Create and/or coordinate graphic design for marketing assets and advertisements in compliance with internal branding guidelines.
  6. Oversees internal and external production of printed marketing materials.
  7. Coordinate and produce web graphics with internal web team.
  8. Manage Members 1st Credit Union social media sites.
  9. Occasionally help arrange, set up, conduct, and take down marketing events at branches and within the community.
  10. Create and run reports for promotions and tracking marketing performance.
  11. Assist with media contacts and relations on behalf of Members 1st Credit Union.
  12. Create and/or coordinate news, blogs, notifications, and press releases for distribution to media contacts, members, and community.
  13. Design and produce marketing materials/promotions for targeted products and services.
  14. Review and proof marketing materials for accuracy and completeness.
  15. Maintain inventory of marketing material supplies. Determine when to reorder and place orders to replenish inventories at all branch locations.
  16. Audit marketing channels for accuracy and completeness.
  17. Attends occasional early morning “all staff required” trainings and meetings.
  18. Reports for duty as scheduled.
  19. Is responsible for compliance with all required regulations and polices, especially with all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) policies, procedures and regulations.
  20. Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
  1. Must have strong knowledge of marketing automation systems and CRMs.
  2. Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
  3. Must be proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  4. General skills applicable to this position include:
  5. Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Ability to interact tactfully and professionally with credit union staff as well as members. Maintain a high degree of confidentiality in dealing with sensitive information and marketing strategies.
  7. Strong computer skills consistent with requirements for graphic design, HTML coding, and promotion tracking as stated above.
  8. Attention to detail and excellent organizations skills.
  9. Must possess a valid California Driver’s License.
  10. Must have excellent grammar and proof-reading skills.

  1. Must be willing to work in a team environment and meet established deadlines.
  2. Must be willing to accept and to follow Credit Union policies and procedures.
  3. Problem solving where development of new solutions, methods and systems will result in a major impact on the Credit Union’s overall success.
  4. Ability to analyze situations or current practices. Determine changes to improve and make recommendations to superiors. When approved, see projects through to completion.
  5. Mathematical ability enough to add, subtract, multiply, divide, calculate averages, and work with percentages.
  6. Ability to communicate effectively by telephone, by email, in person, and in group meetings and discussions. Ability to give and receive information accurately. Participate in routine meetings and make informative presentations to individuals and to groups.
  7. Ability to follow directions and procedures accurately and to organize facts and figures.
    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  1. May be required to travel to the various branch locations for events or meetings.
  2. Extended sitting, focusing on and operating a personal computer intermittently throughout the day.
  3. Ability to read printed words and numbers in printed form and on computer/terminal monitor.
  4. Communicate by telephone, by email, and other forms of communication intermittently throughout the day.
  5. Hearing enough to clearly hear voices in person and on the telephone.
  6. Performing work through repetitive eye/hand coordination.
  7. Daily standing for up to 15 minutes at a time while operating office equipment such as a FAX, printer or photocopier.
  8. Write using pen/pencil or personal computer keyboard for extended periods daily.
  9. Ability to pack and lift boxes of 20 lbs. or less to ship to branches.
