Current Positions Available

Full-Time Quality Control Specialist I - Redding

The primary responsibility of this position is performing audits for the credit union. The Quality Control Specialist I will review records, documents, loans, policies, and procedures, financial and operational processes, and electronic information in accordance with regulatory requirements.
 

Salary Range: $18.00 to $25.50 an hour DOE

Essential Functions
  1. Conducts regular operation audit procedures and activities for all credit union branches, the call center, and other departments.
  2. Conducts independent operation audits and examinations of credit union records to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and established procedures.
  3. Assists internal personnel and other regulatory examiners during audits, as necessary.
  4. Assists in the implementation of new or revised internal quality control policies, methods, and procedures.
  5. Makes recommendations to revise electronic systems and procedures to comply with State and Federal regulations.
  6. Prepares written reports on internal quality control reviews, including findings, analyses, conclusions, and recommended actions.
  7. Ensures that audit processes will stand up to outside scrutiny.
  8. Maintains strict confidentiality, sharing information on a “need to know” basis.
  9. Is responsible for compliance with all required regulations and policies, including a review of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) recordkeeping.
  10. Review funded loans to ensure accuracy in loan rates, collateral, payments, loan types, signatures, all required documentation is included in loan files, and note any loan exceptions.
  11. Maintain on-going knowledge of loan procedures and operations procedures and recommend process revisions when needed.
  12. Audit DocMan Entries as needed
  13. Serve as the BSA Compliance Specialist and backs up BSA Compliance staff as needed.
  14. Present trainings to staff pertaining to fraud and quality control activities as needed.
  15. Other duties as assigned.

  4. Ability to communicate effectively by telephone, in group meetings and discussions. Ability to give and receive information accurately. Participate in routine meetings and make informative presentations to individuals and to groups.
  5. Ability to follow directions and procedures accurately and to organize facts and figures.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  1. Extended sitting, focusing on and operating a personal computer intermittently throughout the day.
  2. Ability to read printed words and numbers in printed form and on computer/terminal monitor.
  3. Communicate by telephone for up to 30 minutes at a time on a daily basis.
  4. Hearing sufficient to clearly hear voices in person and on the telephone.
  5. Performing work through repetitive hand/eye coordination.
  6. Daily standing for up to 15 minutes at a time while operating office equipment such as a FAX, printer, or photocopier.
  7. Write using pen/pencil or personal computer keyboard for extended periods on a daily basis.
Job Qualifications
  1. Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
  2. General skills applicable to this position include:
  1. Sufficient experience in a credit union with emphasis on operations, lending, and policy writing consistent with the above duties and responsibilities.
  2. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Ability to interact tactfully and professionally with credit union staff as well as members. Maintain a high degree of confidentiality in dealing with sensitive information and loan requests.
  4. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Must be able to complete pre employment screenings, including a credit report and drug screening.

Full-Time Member Service Representative - Chico

Provides consistent excellent service to our walk-in and phone members. Performs transactions and side duties in an accurate and timely manner. Takes an active role in cross training in the branch and participating in weekly staff meetings. Actively promotes and provides credit union products and services to our members. Will be assigned to work on projects within the branch and/or in support of other departments within the credit union when needed.  Must be able to work full-time hours, during the working hours of Monday through Thursday 8:15 am to 5:15 pm and Friday 8:15 am to 5:45 pm.

Salary Range: $16.00 and up DOE - $250 Retention Bonus. Health, GAP, Dental, Vision, Life, 401k, PTO, Paid Holida

Essential Functions
  1. Provides excellent member service to members in the branch, through email, chat and calling on the phone.
  2. Performs variety of transactions in person and over the phone, including but not limited to: deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, purchase of monetary instruments, sale of stamps, reviewing account history, certificate transactions, etc.
  3. Learn and become comfortable with credit union products and services available for members including, but not limited to: accounts offered, interest bearing accounts, cards, card transactions, online banking, e-statements, audio response, direct deposit, basic knowledge of loan products, etc.
  4. Must look for opportunities to refer products and services to each member, as fits their needs.
  5. Must know and implement all financial institution policies and regulations: such as BSA, OFAC, Reg CC, Reg DD, Reg E, Reg P, etc.
  6. Must know how to open new accounts and additional suffixes.
  7. Process cash with accuracy and security measures set in place according to policy.
  8. Responsible to read, study and apply credit union policies and procedures as assigned.
  9. Properly identifies members in the branch and over the phone.
  10. Participates in side jobs including, but not limited to: night drop processing, ATM processing, branch balancing, check balancing, auditing various operations functions, keeping branch organized, supply inventory, scanning and copying.
  11. Complies with office safety and security guidelines and training.
  12. Participates in appropriate and applicable training through the credit union library, on-site trainings, cross training to ensure job knowledge is current and up to date.
  13. Completes quarterly compliance training in all required regulations and policies.
  14. Maintains compliance with all required regulations and policies, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) policies, procedures and regulations.
  15. Support loan center - assist loan center by connecting member with loan center staff.
  16. Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  3. Experienced in cash handling is a MUST.
  4. Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
  5. General skills applicable to this position include:
    1. A minimum of a beginner level knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
    2. Advanced skills in using computers and related equipment, 10-key calculator, multi-line telephone/intercom systems, and a variety of general office equipment including copy machines, scanners, and fax equipment.
    3. Ability to interact tactfully and professionally with Credit union staff as well as external contacts. Maintain a high degree of confidentiality in dealing with various personnel and member information.
  6. Light travel is required. Travel to the various branch locations or to off-site trainings may be necessary on occasion.
  7. Background checks, including a credit check and drug screen required.

Full-Time HR Administrative Assistant - Redding

Assists in the delivery of effective HR services, safety compliance, and records maintenance. Serves to accurately and timely process timely payroll and payroll records under the direction of the HR Department. Assists with the promotion and coordination of employee benefits, training, and programs to all branch locations and employees. Maybe assigned to work on projects in support of senior management within the credit union as needed.
 

Salary Range: $19 to $23.75 - DOE - Health, Dental, Vision, Gap & Life/AD &D benefits available, plus other perks!

Essential Functions
  1. Assumes responsibility for administration and processing of employee benefits, employee online training, new hires, employee terminations, payroll, promotions, training, safety, and COBRA notifications. Assists employees with access and user problems with HRIS system. Works with the appropriate resources to ensure the modules and websites are current and in good working order.
  2. Maintains electronic and printed personnel files in a consistent and organized manner. Adheres to all retention periods as required by local policy and applicable laws. Purges material exceeding the required retention periods to keep files up to date. Maintains confidential/medical records, I-9 forms separate from personnel files, also consistent with retention periods.
  3. Point of contact for leasing tenants and building maintenance, leasing, etc.
  4. Oversees organization of long-term paper document storage and shredding for corporate. Help branches with additional services for shredding.  Annual Conex container storage and shredding.
  5. Responsible for filing liability claims through the credit union’s property and auto bond carrier.
  6. Coordinates pick-up, scheduling and delivery from outside vendors as needed. Janitorial company, security company, shredding, etc.
  7. Primary contact for catering and coordination for in-house meetings or trainings. 
  8. Evaluate incoming correspondence, research, and respond to questions, provide back-up information where required, and route accordingly. Coordinate follow through on correspondence pending.
  9. Assist in scheduling and/or arranging appointments, meetings, business trips, etc. for senior management and board.
  10. Perform specialized or confidential administrative duties, including researching data and preparing reports as needed.
  11. Maintain inventory of office supplies at the corporate office and order supplies weekly from Staples. Toner recycling and return.
  12. Ensure mail is processed and ready for pick up each day.
  13. Conduct research and prepare statistical and financial reports to assist senior management team in the development of a variety of plans, documents, or reports. Rate comparisons.
  14. Manage Corporate vehicles, maintenance schedule, registration, etc.
  15. Point of contact for the corporate vending machine. 
  16. Responsible for ordering business cards for staff members.

Job Qualifications
  1. Experience in administrative duties and payroll processing for a minimum of 2 years.
  2. AA degree in related field or equivalent in experience is desirable.
  3. Must possess the ability to follow procedures, maintain a high level of confidentiality, and work independently or in a group environment.
  4. Proficiency in general use of computers. Advance computer skills in Word and Excel are required. The ability to adapt, change, learn, and be flexible is required. 
  5. The ability to type net 45 words per minute, excellent grammar, and proof-reading skills as well as strong organizational skills is desirable.
  6. Organizational, analytical, public relations and project management skills; ability to coordinate a variety of projects.
  7. Advanced communication skills (written and verbal).
  8. Ability to interact tactfully and professionally with credit union staff as well as external contacts.
  9. Light travel is required. Travel to the various branch locations or to off-site trainings may be necessary on occasion.
